We’re the (married) guys behind EXTRA EXTRA Chili Crunch — an upstart condiment brand out of San Francisco, California.
We started making our own chili crunch because we were frustrated with chili crunches that skimped on the actual crunch or left us with a bunch of oil when all the “good stuff” was eaten.
After a long (and occasionally painful) period of research and development — yes, Carter did accidentally and frequently pepper-spray himself for the cause — we created something we started craving.
EXTRA EXTRA gives us what we want: a bold, unapologetic small batch condiment we eat with every meal.
For many months, we got a lot of joy sharing our chili crunch with our friends. Thanks to their help, we realized we might actually be onto something when they kept asking us for refills.
And that’s how it started.

Deseeded Peppers for Maximum Texture
Seeds get leathery. They ruin the natural crunch of the peppers you’re paying for. We painstakingly de-seed all our peppers.
It Should be Fun
It’s a condiment. It’s not that serious. We have fun when we make every edition.
Avocado Oil
High quality oil matters. We don’t use cheap oils like grape or canola. EXTRA EXTRA uses rich, thick avocado oil from CA.
